Its been quite a while... since an update. According to http://www.tk-band.com/, due to the H1N1 situation, TK Band dropped out of WMC. Guess its just bad luck again. Just reminds us of how things happening around the world can just spoil plans made as far as a year ago. Like how terrorism case 911 basically ruined any hopes for my batch to go overseas (no further than Sentosa....), and how SARS delayed SYF Indoor 2003 until late July that year.
Well since there's nothing much anyone can do with regards to world issues, I just hope everyone can take care and not fall victim to that horrible flu (if you haven't). coz i know it sucks even more compared to 2003. and for that, i hope the graduating batch this year will hang on, because i know its going to be very tough, probably going to be tougher than how graduating batch 2003 felt.
hope to meet up with u guys again. when its convenient to do so.

In case you guys still don't know (I'm not surprised, I only knew this 2 days ago), AND you happen to be lurking around here sufficiently on time, (seriously, does anyone come here anymore?)
Tanjong Katong Band's turn (Band number 110) for SYF Central Judging of Concert Bands 2009 is on 6 April 2009 afternoon. [half a day left]
Venue is at Singapore Conference Hall. You need tickets to enter legally. So if you happen to be free at that time, be there early enough to get the tickets first come first served. Otherwise you need to do..... what we have been doing for the past Outdoor comps in National Stadium. heh. heh. heh.

I miss playing UNO the stressful way. It relieves stress. What an irony. (Okay I mean it relieves stress from work, studies etc.)
I see that NOBODY seems to come here, anyway I doubt anyone saw the previous post either on time or after until now (does anyone still come here when its not the peak attention season like Outdoor?). But if anyone from DMD (or other ex tkeuphoniumz) sees this, i think its about time we SHOULD have something on for a 5th year anniversary for De Miniraad and start planning some activity. can be a simple meal/bbq to a chalet for past and present tkeuphoniumz (possibly/maybe plus inviting some "honorable" notable guests non-tkeuphoniumz - most probably still from tkband). okay i think too much. I dunno whether anyone's interested to even have one in the first place, but if anyone wants to know, I am interested to have one.
Just don't count me to do ALL the planning etc. I will probably faint. I'm willing to plan something lah. Like maybe refreshments supply if there's a bbq/chalet(lol). Or maybe a little more than that. Just a little more.
Meanwhile, I'm not sure if tkband's taking part in SYF Central Judging of Concert Bands aka Indoor this season? Anyone can confirm? I haven't been back in quite a while.... Seems like maybe the coming March holidays are a good chance to take a visit, especially if there's going to be band camp... anyone knows whether there's one? I actually don't remember any names of current members anymore.

Description
Hey guys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls(wanlin, u are under girls.. :P), i am proposing a gathering or a simple meet up for a meal as a section during the CNY season.. Its about time we meet up again as a group and catch up with one another, play UNO, drink starbucks, make noise and make fun of wanlin, after not seeing each other for quite some time.. I'm not too sure when is a good date for everyone, so the date, time and venue is not confirmed.. do comment on places or activities we could do.. and of course, the prefered date and time so that we can work it out together..
UPDATE: Ok, its been finalized.. We are going to have the LAST MINUTE BBQ (its a tradition...), at ECP.. So meeting at 4pm, to do the LAST MINUTE shopping at Giant or NTUC, then pushing the huge trolley to ECP to find a spot (Pit 12 1/2 ??) and then firing away to cook burnt chickens and hotdogs..
Those who have stuffs to contribute (UNO CARDS, frisbee, pink mats, groundsheets, canvas, watever stuffs u think we can use, please bring!)

Wangmin/Vanessa, can u girls help me tell Adam, Ma-girl( hahah! ok mardhia!), patrick and spongebob(chin kiat), about this outing.. i dont have their numbers.. thanks girls..

Stuffs to contribute can also include BBQ sauce, other sauces, BBQ stuffs from previous BBQs we had (if the ones who eventually got them still has them and not expired/still in good condition). I have none of those anyway - thank goodness.
I got a deck of UNO cards of Cars edition during my trip to the continent down in the south. I'll bring if I remember, IF I remember... and if I do manage to turn up (I just hate last minute changes to ...commitments, coz even at this point of time I do hear of such changes around as though I'm a dummy along with everyone else).

TK Band In Concert 2008 at Victoria Concert Hall
I was sure I'll be out that night - just a matter of what time I'll be out.
Managed to grab the camera from home and headed to VCH with time seriously running out - 10 to 12 minutes left and I still dunno the exact directions.
Ran from a bus stop (which I overshot by one sigh) to the place. Luckily didn't get lost coz I wasn't familiar with the place, all was totally by intuition and chance.
And then I didn't watch out for traffic in the car park, I got HIT by a reversing car. Hurts but I ran off after giving the driver a signal of apology.
Bought the entry ticket that costs $30 (aka First Class) coz the $20 ones were sold out. luckily I had enough cash then. Doors were about to close already. And my seat was the ones up on top aka circle seats.
The usher at the door for the $30 seats was closing the door from inside until she realised I was running towards it. Exactly the last one to enter. Barely made it. Wei Ee was there watching too!! So was Patrick, Mardhiah and Adam. (I need some time to realise they have already graduated...) Kian Hong, Rootz and Chin Kiat performed for Alumni Band.
the second half of the concert (aka after intermission) was particular entertaining.
let the photos speak the rest of it - although they are blurry, partly because flash OFF during performance. watch out for familiar faces!
As usual, there were shouts for encore even when the concert was announced to be "officially" ended.
n i might have heard wrongly, but 2009's at esplanade?
