So the TK Band In Concert 2006 was over, and I must comment that the performance was truly entertaining and pleasing to the ears. However, I stress that there is still room for improvement over some minor flaws plus the ability to make the audience (or rather, the adjudicators for the SYF next year) have their hair stand, to make the music more impactful at the right time, in order to gain a few notches up in standard for next year.
Who went to watch? (in our section only)
- Wanlin
- Kian Hong
- Chuan Zhi
- Jarryl
- Husna
- Eugene
- Wenkai
- Wei qi
- Astrid
we (and including those who were unable to turn up) are all giving you the full support to excel optimally in being good musicians... so, don't give up and strive to the goal!
this is also my opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ahead! enjoy the remaining of your holidays, and for those who have holiday homework/assignment/project(s) to complete, please fulfill your role as a student well to gain a better impression of tkband members on the teachers (also i must admit that some are stubbornly prejudiced against tkband members due to several reasons). i think this statement is more or less brought out frequently before the school vacation (i refuse to say "holiday") ends.
as usual, its me writing. no need to guess, you should know who already.
and oh, how could i have signed off without mentioning this? wanlin hopes for some tkeuphonium bbq or something soon. needless to say, me too. however, due to the lack of availability of resources (esp money and bbq skills) AND the restricted timing for maximum attendance (includes both DMD n current members), i'm sad to say that having even only one (even the simplest - gathering/outing?) within these few months (or even whole of next year and the year after that) is highly unlikely, needless to say even a bbq or a chalet... any comments about this?
