Wow, suddenly everyone is starting to blog again.. good2... Sending more invites soon.. Those who need the invites please let me noe! Anyway, YES, next year outdoor is on, despite all the rumors that have been going on that there wont be anymore outdoor comp since the stadium is going down. Well, i received news from Mdm Nora (the band teacher-in-charge, in case you guys forget who... CK! i noe u forgot! dont act ok...), that they will hold the competition at Hwa Chong Institute (aka ex- Chinese High). However, what will be different this time round is that there wont be any FINALS. So they will announce the Best Display Band on the same day itself. ( April something i guess). They will still have SYF Opening ceremony, but the winning band will not necesserily be invited to perform, so kind of like NDP i guess.. So to put it simply, the band will SHOW everything in April, thus EFFORT have to be doubled! No more, 'will work harder in July' or 'Save it for July'. No pressurising the current members, but REALLY... no more slacking around when practises starts.. Not too worry much, WE will be there to support you..
However, can i just emphasize on the importance of teamwork.. Its important to work as a section.. I know it will be hard to get along with some of the sectionmate (wink* to CK.. :P), but when it comes to practises, put everything aside and just focus on improving. I cant really say much for now as i dont know how the standard of the section is like. We'll take it a step at a time alright. We'll start of by getting to know the section REAL well, and that is what the UPCOMING BBQ will about. Getting to know one another, getting to know each other's strengths and weaknesses.. We'll make sure there will be more INTERACTIONS among the old and young of the EUPHO family.... With that, i'm gonna need a lot of help from the DMD!! time to welcome the new DMDs too! Ok, discussions will start when wanlin is back in SG........
