Despite the final highlight of the day not being a desired one, I still have to mention that it was nice having to meet up together again. especially since it was the national stadium for the one last time, and for real this time (i hope - we can't wait forever for a sports hub if they keep dragging the purpose of the supposedly closure).
some things that still made my day:
1. sitting on the national stadium grandstand for the last time was great. i can't believe i entered the grandstand side just. like. that.
2. weiee was just sitting beside me when the results were about to be announced. i heard everything within a one-seat radius. yeap, i was the one laughing. n i heard a little bit of the stadium loudspeaker announcing the results. a little bit only.
3. having our own mode of transport for the day, and having 11 pple into that car. *HUMP!* i really wonder how other pple (on the road and band members/alumni/parents walking out of school) think when they saw how close we are in the vehicle.
4. playing UNO after so long after not playing it for more than a year, even though we didn't finish the game because the current members reached MacDonalds then. and i must thank Wang Min for saving me from a +8 draw! thank goodness for intercepting! sorry vanessa for +12...
5. the cake! and how it was cut to have everyone a fair share. not only was there difficulty in cutting it nicely, i found it surprisingly hard biting and chewing on the cake. not that the cake was that hard to bite (no pun intended), but the cake just gets stuck on my bite plate i'm wearing on the upper set of teeth (not the braces!) for no solid reason.
Outdoor 2008 ended quick, i miss having a July finals to watch. but then again, if there were one this year its highly unlikely i wouldn't have been able to attend due to... service commitments.
