When I found out that tkband's gonna go KL for competition about 2 weeks ago, i was surprised and delighted.
Such an opportunity is one that my batch (and a few before/after) can only ever dream of (especially after terrorism threats made headlines). For the record, batch 2004 only went as far as Sentosa (oops) for a post-season celebration. I thought that this Outdoor 2008 season was going to be a short one for us, now that is so wrong. I'm glad that we now have bigger "projects" to deal with, even if it means taking a step at a time. The only concern that we can have is that having to end this so late, we probably have to struggle a lot more to cope with the academic load that is huge towards the end of the year. Especially the current Sec 4s, hopefully you can manage to strike a balance with the busy schedule that no other batches (for a long time) have dealt with, even though there was NDP for my time too but i would rather say that my schedule then might be more of a "it came close" rather than comparable.
I'm definitely bummed that I won't be personally there at KL to support u guys, even if most of u dun even know who I am. but i'll stay (stuck) here hoping and praying for the best. and i also hope that you can gain a lot more experience with the opportunities people like me can only dream of back in the good old days. in the end, the thing that matters the most in significance and stays in your memories for the rest of your life, is the journey.
Reach for the moon, and at the very least, you'll hit the stars.
see you guys soon.
